The curious thing here is; if you're looking for lower costs, Germany isn't the way to do it.
Sure, the salaries might be slightly lower (but not a lot.) However, it's nearly impossible to fire or layoff employees, they get great benefits, a minimum 20 days off a year, Etc..
All of this guaranteed by law.
Germany is basically a unionized country. The government is the union, and the "work council" (a real, and powerful entity exclusively representing workers at every company) makes most unions in the US look like pushovers.
I feel for the Python and Flutter teams. But if Google was looking to get cheaper, easier to deal with labor in Munich - they've lost their mind.
