The problem is see with this article is, it only quoted one actual causative study, and that was technically about social media - not phones. All the rest are correlative assumptions. I.e. "<Some bad things> are more prevalent since 2000. So are phones. They must be the cause."

Correlative assumptions based on incomplete science has led to deeply entrenched false conclusions before (look how long people thought fat was the cause of the obesity crisis.)
